Today's Tazkirah..

I was flipping through the TV channels last Friday, during the Maulidur Rasul holiday, when I came across the programme 'Usrah' with Dato' Dr Fatimah el Zahra as the host. The discussion for the day was "Wasiat Rasulullah SAW kepada wanita" or something like that. It was such an interesting usrah and I would like to share some of the points that I remembered with you:

1) When Rasulullah SAW was on the Isra' & Mikraj journey, he saw many women inside hell. One of the reasons was women has 'too many mouths' for e.g. always argue with the husbands, are not thankful enough to their husbands, always talk bad about other people etc. There fore, women MUST always istighfar and sadaqah because these 'amal' could erase all the small sins that we 'unconsciously' do every day

2) Fatimah r.a, the daughter of Rasulullah SAW, once sadly told him that she was too tired doing house chores without any helper. She requested for a hand/maid to help her around the house. Rasululllah told her to recite "Subhanallah (33x), Alhamdulillah (33x) and Allahuakbar (34x)" every day before going to sleep. With this 'amal' we would feel strong to do all the chores without the help of any body, we would be patience with all the difficulties in our lives and most of all, we will gain endless 'pahala' as the reward from Allah SWT

One lady from the audience asked Dato' about the 'hukum' of a woman who treats her own mother and her mother-in-law differently. She said that we should treat both our own mothers and our mothers-in-law equally. As a matter of fact, we should treat our mothers-in-law better than we treat our own mothers, because we married the sons that they bore and bred with all the difficulties, and we took our husbands from their mothers 'ready-made' so easily. Therefore, they deserved to be treated nicely by us, the daughters-in-law

Those were some of the points that I could remember. Semoga bermanfaat, InsyaAllah..
