Pity Daniel...

Last week, our down stair's neighbour went up to our apartment and complained that he couldn't stand the noises coming from the top of his ceiling. Hubby had mentioned earlier to me that this guy is very fussy about noises coming from this apartment as soon as we set foot in here. He actually buzzed the intercom the last time (before Daniel and I came to this country) because apparently he could hear Hubby's music 'seeping' through his ceiling...hehe...He also loves to park his car so close to ours (makan space la tu....mentang-mentang kereta kitorang cute jer...) but so far we haven't made any complaints... This guy seemed to have some troubles up in his brain.

He actually asked me, "Do you have a child in the house making the noise?" and I said yes. We've actually bumped into each other a few times and of course he knew that we have a growing toddler!

Now, how do you control an active, growing toddler from jumping around the house? To me, Daniel has done minimal noises actually because he only jumps or runs around when he's extremely, extremely excited. And not without me reprimanding him from doing that for fear that the noise would trouble the below neighbour every time he did it.

And just nice, my boy has recently developed interests in exercising and dancing. So, from time to time he would ask me to watch him 'perform' the routines. They were funny moves, of course and he seemed to enjoy doing them very much.

Because of this guy, now we have put the mattress from the second bedroom in the hall for Daniel to jump or dance on if he feels the need to do so. And we constantly reminded him not to jump or dance or run whenever we thought that he was going to do so outside of the mattress area. This quite broke my heart, because I felt like I was curbing him from somewhat enjoying his childhood...*sigh* Macam terbantut je excitement dia tu.....

Well, my upstairs neighbour does not have kids but we constantly hear loud thumpings from above. And we are not complaining, because we know there must be reasons for that. Normal people won't do anything unpleasant to other parties (especially not known to them) on purpose, right?

Well, kalau tak nak dengar bunyi bising dari siling, duduk la kat rumah setingkat ke, banglo ke? Tak pun duduk kat apartmen tingkat atas sekali...huhuhu!

Neighbours

They come and they go..hehe.. My neighbour with the cats and loads of jungle in the house had finally moved out to their new pad. It is quite a strange sight to see the lawn so empty. Luckily they have decided to ferry out all their cats (Allah knows how many of them were around). Their other neighbour actually asked the daughter when she was going to collect all the cats and kittens to bring to their new house. hehe.. The abang complained to my dad that he couldn't stand the cats anymore because apart from littering anywhere in his compound, the cats also purged on his car! And one Sunday morning while I was getting ready for my routine cycling, I saw the abang angrily picked up cat's poo-poo from in front of his gate using a hoe and threw it right back into the now empty neighbour's lawn! Marah betul dia! hehe...

The house on the right of my house had been vacant for almost a year now and a family is moving in! So, actually my left-side neighbour moved out and my right-side neighbour moved in at the same time! The newbies are a small Pantai Timur, young Malay couple with a baby. I am excited to have the new neighbour around. Hopefully we can become fast friends. So far, they have been very friendly and nice.

Looking forward for a "Jiran Sepakat Membawa Berkat" life after this! And a bad odor-free environment! Yay!

A request for help

One of my new neighbours in P*tr* H**ghts came over the other day to ask whether we would be able to lend our house for them to house their relatives attending the wedding of their daughter. The were willing to pay for a month's rent for a 3-day stay. It sounds great, and although I would be willing to help for free (after all, we are still not moving into the house yet and there are no furniture there yet), the extra cash seemed nice. At least it could help in the furniture purchase area later...hehe..

Now, I need to compile all our stuffs that have been brought there and lock them up in a room so that there would be no missing items later. The neighbour had promised to take care of the house during the rent and would pay for any damages caused by their relatives, if any. I hope there would be no need for that, alright?
