Hooked..yet again!

Thanks for Wegra for pointing it out, I am now hooked to Cashmere Mafia. Pity though it had to stop at episode 4 (as of all the other series now are also being stopped until further notice due to the boycott). What can I say? Women rules! And friendship is the greatest! heheh!

Now, when would the 2007/2008 Writers Guild of America Strike end? Bosan giller weh takde update on my favourite series (read: Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Private Practice, House and Cashmere Mafia)

That's the difference between their industry's associations versus ours. Macam tu barulah boleh maju. Ni Gelombang Merah lah, kecoh sana sini tapi hasilnya macam tu jugak!

AJL 2007

Just finished watching the live telecast (although had to miss the first few performances). And my comment: ALL were deserving winners EXCEPT for the winner of Best Performance. What best performance? I think Ramlah Ram's performance was better (the choreography were really nice!) I mean, come on people! We know you are die-hard fans and for many, many times already, if the winner was chosen via sms, nobody else would win. But then, you could be reasonable a bit, eh? Macam mana industri nak berkembang daaa???

And what's with the make-up? I don't know if my eyes were wrong, but I certainly thought that many of them looked old and dark! But then, maybe it's the current trend for make-up and for someone who never bother to keep up with this particular thing's updates, who am I to judge? heheh...

I certainly liked the performances and vocals of Sahri, Bob, Fiq, Jac&Lah and Rich of Estranged (although he did sound a bit 'sengau' during the first few minutes of the song). And I liked most of the songs in the AJL 2007.

My final observation: Entranged punya drummer itu manyiak hensem larrrr...hahahaha!

A request for help

One of my new neighbours in P*tr* H**ghts came over the other day to ask whether we would be able to lend our house for them to house their relatives attending the wedding of their daughter. The were willing to pay for a month's rent for a 3-day stay. It sounds great, and although I would be willing to help for free (after all, we are still not moving into the house yet and there are no furniture there yet), the extra cash seemed nice. At least it could help in the furniture purchase area later...hehe..

Now, I need to compile all our stuffs that have been brought there and lock them up in a room so that there would be no missing items later. The neighbour had promised to take care of the house during the rent and would pay for any damages caused by their relatives, if any. I hope there would be no need for that, alright?

Still down with fever and Hubby's updates

Hubby was worried that I got sick because of him @ the germs that he brought back from Thailand. I didn't think so and apparently the Dr treating me also didn't think so. Just a coincidence, I guess. But my throat hurts like hell. Never had this condition before. Normally it would go off just by a few drops of Str*ps*ls and the next day, the cough would start and the sore throat would disappear. But this time, I had been suffering from this sore throat for about 3 days now, and there is no signs of cough or flu about to begin!

On Hubby:
He arrived in Ho Chi Minh city and kena pow when he got a cab from the airport to his hotel. Had to pay about RM150 for that short ride. Poor thing! He was picked up from his hotel the next day at about 6.45am to begin the journey to his construction site which took about 2 hours ride on something like a water taxi (I don't know the exact word for it) but I believe it is something like the ferry in Penang where you can drive in with your car inside the ferry to be transported to the other side of the river. It was difficult to find Halal restaurant and mosque for Friday prayers, not like in Thailand's KK2. The Site Manager is a Malaysian Malay, so I asked Hubby to obtain more information on living there from him. Now, if only I can go there.. At least the eating part would be taken care of, right? Hmmm...

My new stuffs

Today is Abah's birthday.. And I am down with viral fever! So nothing much to do and I spent the whole afternoon, evening and night sleeping after taking some medicines. It was the longest sleeping hours that I had! Had intervals for solat and dinner only and off I doze to la-la land again. What a bliss!

These are my new toys:

A very busy weekend

Hubby touched down on Friday at about 5.15 pm and we went straight home. It was my birthday and I was so glad that he could make it home although for a short period only. No extraordinary birthday celebration, just cake cutting for all family members. Hubby was exhausted and complained of diarrhea all week long. Poor thing!

On Saturday, we got off from home at about 12noon and stopped by J*sco Bkt Raja because he needed to change his Thai Baht. The rate wasn't great so we shot off to L*w Y*tt Plaza to find my new phone. We got stuck for a while there to find the best bargain for my phone. Got a good one at a store, but we were asked to wait for 15 minutes to get the phone. After a hotdog and juices session, we went back to that store, only to find out that it was not there yet. We went up a level to survey the price of memory card and when we came back to the store, the phone was finally there (according to them ladies at the store). I was asked to pay first because it was "Cash And Carry." It was only then that we were informed that only the phone was original (not AP set) but the rest of the accessories were AP. No wonder they offered a cheaper price! Hubby wanted to cancel already, but the girl, seeing that we were about to go, gave a good price for the whole original set. Hubby refused to budge, but somehow I was a bit tolerant (not usually). To get the new original set, we needed to wait again for them to take the stock from Sg W*ng! Bl**dy H*ll! Hubby gave his peice of mind to the girl until she didn't dare to look at him. We should have gone in the first place. I was to be blamed..tsk..Too soft!

We finally got my phone at about 5.30pm. Rushed to McD Pandan Mewah to at least meet the birthday boy Afif and parents, but upon reaching there, the place had been cleaned up for another party. Too bad!

We started the journey to Hubby's hometown in J*sin immediately after that and reached there at about 9pm, where we headed straight to Hubby's Mak Ngah's house for a kenduri doa selamat because Pak Ngah and Mak Ngah had safely returned from Mekah for Hajj. I was in my blouse and pants (kes tak sempat tukar baju).. Buat malu den yo..

The next day, nothing much to do since Hubby was still suffering from diarrhea. Went to clinic and had a leisure time at kampung until it was time to go back. Had a pit stop at Mc Donalds Ayer Keroh to deliver a few ordered goods to a client and shot back to KL. Stopped by Hubby's brother's house in Puchong for a while. It has been a while since we met although I pass by his house literally every week..hehe..Grabbed a quick bite at a restaurant afterwards and headed straight home after that.

On Monday, Hubby went to his office to settle his visa application. Got his visa approved before lunch time. I went to my office to pickup some stuffs and later in the evening, we all gathered for a family dinner to celebrate my birthday and also Abah's birthday (our birthdays are only 6 days apart).

On Tuesday, Hubby went to his office after lunch at home (long time never taste my cooking what? hehe) to collect his flight tickets. Afterwards, he went to MidV*lley to change his foreign notes (Thai baht to RM and RM to Vietnam Dong) and became a Dong Millionaire..hehe.. He bought my birthday present there also- a Panasonic Lumix Digital Camera. Yay! After that he went for a teh tarik session with his mates from previous office and then came home to settle his packing.

We shot to the airport at about 6.30am the next morning because Hubby's flight was at 9.15am to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Reached airport at about 7.30am and went straight for check-in. Daniel and I waited for him to take off and witnessed the occassion from the "Anjung Menunggu" at the airport.

There you go! The details of our short-lived quality time as a family before we became a PJJ again. Hubby is scheduled to be there for a month at least, so couldn't wait for an OK to go there or for him to return!

Mari mengira

Count down:
1) The hours to my 30th birthday
2) The hours when I will meet my best buddy for a lunch at a Korean Restaurant for my birthday treat..nyum...nyum
3) The hours when Daniel and I would finally reunite with our long-lost Ayah/Hubby
4) The 4 days max when we got to spend REALLY quality time together because on Monday/Tuesday, Hubby will be lost again to us. This time to Vietnam, and it will be much, MUCH longer than the Thailand stint
5) The hours when we will be a PJJ (Perkahwinan Jarak Jauh, thanks to Ahgern for the terms..hehe..) again

Count up:
1) What else, my AGE lah! huhu...

Hubby is scheduled to leave Bangkok on 2pm tomorrow (Thailand time) so I think he should touch down around 4pm Malaysia time. I sent his original degree certificate to his office yesterday because they seemed so much in hurry to send MY hubby to another place in the shortest time possible. Seemed like the need in Vietnam is so great that even Thailand couldn't stop them from taking Hubby to be brought elsewhere. So, we are expecting him to be off on Tuesday max, because on Monday Hubby needs to apply for his Visa. And 3,4 days are max for us to spend quality time together...tsk..tsk..

I am supposed to follow him this time, but we really are not sure yet. Let's see how the living condition there is first. According to plan, Hubby will be there very much longer than Thailand. It might takes years, so we really don't know what's it's gonna be like for us: either we continue our PJJ or I'll move there with Daniel. We'll see how.

Hubby has been in Thailand for 3 months now, and what we will get before he goes to the next destination is 3,4 days only. Sucks, but that's how it goes. I am not sure whether we would be able to attend Afif's 2nd birthday party on Saturday because we need to squeeze the time to go back to Hubby's hometown to visit his parents. And we also need to find me a new handphone! And the new furniture for our new house! And the list goes on!

Anyway, let's focus on celebrating my 30th life on earth with a blast, ok? I hope tomorrow's gonna be great, InsyaAllah. On a YM session with *ty just now, she asked, "Apa azam baru ko pada umur 30s ni?" and I was stumped for a while. Ada azam ke? hehe.. But then, I replied her, "Aku nak jadi millionaire in my 30s" Hahahaha... Boleh? InsyaAllah, nothing is impossible kan? I pray that Allah will grant me great health, great patience, great live, so that I can spend quality time with my beloved family and friends. And, hopefully all the work that I had done for my business will bear fruit some time soon! Amiiiinnn..

Wada'a 1428H, Attarhib 1429H (G**gle translation: Goodbye 1428H, Welcome 1429H)

Doa Akhir Tahun

Kalau tak berdoa sepanjang tahun pun, at least setahun sekali apa salahnya, kan?

Selamat Beramal!

Hairspray

Just finished watching the downloaded film. Very interesting. I loved it!

Nice songs, nice grooves.. Wow! If you loved Grease (I love the 1st one with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John), you would definitely love Hairspray. And yes, John Travolta also starred in Hairspray, as a woman!

And Zac Efron- mmm...yummeh! And long-time heart-throb- James Marsden... nyum.. nyumm ..hehe..

Nice movie to be enjoyed (especially after you finished 3 long proposals for a bright prospect on a Saturday like I did..hehe..)

Hari Penuh Tensen...

I haven't heard news about my latest shipment from Singapore meant for a client here. Tracking from the website just stated that it was under "Clearance Delay." Calling to the forwarding agent's company was my only agenda for the whole morning and by lunch time only I got some news about the problem.

Due to some screw ups on the shipper's side, I had to part with RM4K of the profit of the sales to pay for the sales taxes. Solutions provided were not on our side and could only make the matters worse. Nak harap shipper bear at least half the charges, I think the chances are zero. I tried to find other means, and I got another way that enable us to pay it cheaper, and I was so tempted to use that way. I just needed to pay half the amount and be happy with it.

But after contemplating all the possibilities and end results, I have decided to part ways with the hard-earned profit. Takpelah, takde rezeki. Harap-harap dapat recover back within a month or two this year.

Although my heart is heavy, I am confident that I have made the right decision. Takpelah, biar rugi sekarang, jangan rugi di kemudian hari. Tak dapat nak menjawab nanti! A lesson well learnt. Tak kena tak tau. Dah kena baru pandai nak beringat next time!

Adios 2007, Hola 2008!

Just finished talking with Hubby in Saraburi, Thailand where he was waiting for the New Year fireworks display at the town of KK2. Told him that we have finished the fireworks show here, forgetting that we are 1 hour earlier than them..hehe...Hubby's last few words just now: "Happy New Year! I love you" made the tears stung at the back of my eyes..tsk..tsk..

Anyway, it was quite a celebration just now around the area that we are living in at the moment. Fireworks, mercun, bom semua ada daaa... Being near a sea port, the scene is very common, be it any celebration. But, I seriously think just now was a tad too intense compared to all the recent celebrations..hehe..Happy sangat la tu masuk new year!

Of course I am praying for a more prosperous year ahead; both duniawi and ukhrawi's sides. And am definitely resolving to be a better wife and mother. Not planning for a second baby yet, but the plan might change somewhere along the year, who knows?

And jeng..jeng..jeng.. I resolve to look more fantastic...chewwah!! Yeah, I know I'm getting there (Three-Oh) really, really soon, but I refuse to let the age catching up or at least showing up on me..kekeke.. (Am I in denial here?) No botox or vitamins injection of any kinds lah, but I want to look young (and stay healthy) as long as I can and if (and when) I do get wrinkles here and there, I would prefer to let them not showing themselves off! hahaha! Of course if we don't have the plan to have baby no 2 yet, I definitely want to slim down and burn the stubborn fats all around my body..Now, how do I do that again?

So, there you go! My resolution for year 2008. The third one might be so daft to some of you, but then again, Suka lah!!!

Happy New Year everybody! Don't forget the Hijrah year also. We will celebrate it (hopefully with the same bang!) on the 10th of January 2008, InsyaAllah. Recite the Ya-Sin 3 times and don't forget the end of the year and beginning of the year's do'a! May you all achieve whatever you have dreamed of and have a great year ahead!
